Malden is home to over 30,000 Koreans, over the years it has
become Korea Town offering a variety of stores and services
all dedicated for the Korean community. We have been serving
this community since 2002 with the opening of our first store
in the main High Street.
Our new dedicated supermarket was launched in September 2005.
Located just off the A3, opposite Tesco's, between Halfords
and the Big Yellow Storage Company, the 15,000 sq ft store
offers a wide range of food from the Far East. Here, you will
find the widest selection of Korean food and drink in the
UK, thousands of items, directly imported from Korea. We also
stock Japanese food and have an increasing range of Chinese
and Thai food, over 1200 items. Our range includes rice, snacks,
cakes, fresh fruit and vegetables, kimchi, noodles, sauces,
frozen food, beverages including beers and spirits and so
much more including household wares and catering sized items
of our ranges.
We are proud of our fish section where we have a dedicated
expert sushi chef who will cut your fresh fish, make sushi
and sashimi platters and scoop live fish out of the fish tank
for you. Our butchers in the meat section offer a wide range
of fresh meat delivered direct from the market. We have also
introduced free range meat including pork, delivered direct
to us from the farm within 24 hours.
Our kitchen makes daily side dishes, Korean style, using all
natural and fresh ingredients. We can also provide for parties
and cater for events, just give us a call, ask for the manageress
and let us know your requirements; we are more than happy
to help.
We have an in-store factory that makes fresh tofu and rice
cakes. Korean style tofu is firmer than your usual standard
of tofu; it's the way we make it. We use GM free soybeans
and will be using organic beans in the very near future.
We offer convenience, a bright and clean environment and an
easy place to park and shop. We welcome everyone and try to
make it easy for people to understand the wide range of exotic
items that we have on offer.
